Film Friday: "Janis: Little Girl Blue" Screening and Q&A

  • Columbia Journalism School, Joseph D. Jamail Lecture Hall, 3rd Floor Pulitzer Hall, 2950 Broadway New York, NY, 10027 (map)

Join us for a Film Fridays screening of "Janis: Little Girl Blue," followed by a Q&A with Director Amy Berg.

Janis: Little Girl Blue reveals the surprisingly sensitive and powerful woman behind the rock ‘n roll legend Janis Joplin. Through archival footage and interviews, we follow the  singer-songwriter's life from her musical rise in the 1960s to her heartbreaking demise and death at 27.

This event is free and open to the public. Pizza will be served. RSVP not required.

The Film Fridays documentary series is sponsored by the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards and the Columbia Journalism School Documentary Program.
