Film Fridays: The Rape of Recy Taylor

The Rape of Recy Taylor tells the story not just of Recy Taylor, but of a legacy of physical abuse toward black women. With first hand accounts, the film looks at the 1944 assault of Taylor, a 24 year old mother, at the hands of six white men in Alabama. The Rape of Recy Taylor looks at past injustice to talk about what justice means today.
