Film Fridays: "Gideon's Army" Screening and Q&A

  • Columbia Journalism School, Joseph D. Jamail Lecture Hall, 3rd Floor Pulitzer Hall 2950 Broadway New York, NY, 10027 United States (map)

Join us for a screening of "Gideon's Army," followed by a Q&A with Director Dawn Porter.

"Gideon's Army" follows the personal story of Travis Williams, Brandy Alexander and June Hardwich, three young public defenders in the Deep South who challenge the assumptions that drive a criminal justice system to the breaking point.

Pizza will be served. Free and open to the public, no RSVP/registration required.

This event is part of the Film Fridays Series, which screens first-run documentaries followed by conversations with the filmmakers. The series is sponsored by the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Awards and the Columbia Journalism School Documentary Program.
